Join the UK’s largest repair group in this fantastic opportunity, as a Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor in the Scotland area of the UK. This is a very varied role, which will involve working across multiple sites, to support the region during holidays, peak volume, training, any assistance required on site and being a champion for the Scotland Region. Ideally based in the Sheffield area, but will consider other locations in the region, as travel to each site will be approximately 1 hour. A company vehicle or car allowance is also included in the package.
As a proven VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator you will have experience using Audatex, and an NVQ level 3/City & Guilds or ATA / IMI qualification is preferred, with a solid bodyshop background. Naturally due to the nature of the job you will hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence.
You will be responsible for estimating/inspecting accident damage vehicles of all makes and marques, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair and timeframes. An important aspect of this job is to identify the correct prescribed repair method and prepare, record and maintain records of electronic and manual estimates. You will then liaise effectively with insurance companies to obtain their authority to repair the vehicle at the costs estimated. You will also effectively liaise with customers, engineers and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology. An understanding of Thatcham Repair Methods and BSi safety standards is paramount. This means keeping up to date with all repair methodologies, together with an understanding of different insurers and manufacturers literature and bulletins.
