This successful, ‘outstanding’ special school catering to pupils aged 2 – 19 with a wide range of special educational needs is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor starting on an ad hoc basis possibly leading to a longer term role for the right candidate.

The Behaviour Mentor will be responsible for supporting the teacher with the smooth running of the classroom and pupils within the classroom or on a 1:1 basis with their work or managing behaviour.

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum L2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Have knowledge and experience supporting children with special educational needs
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a caring and empathetic manner
