This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the magnetometer onboard the European Space Agency’s new space weather monitoring satellite, Vigil . You will work within a cross-disciplinary engineering team developing the Vigil Magnetometer. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the instrument design activities Performing critical data analysis Undertaking test and verification campaigns (in the UK and abroad) Supporting the manufacture of critical hardware Writing supporting documentation as required We are looking for a proactive engineer comfortable working across multiple engineering domains and willing to engage in all aspects of instrument development. Requirements include: A degree in engineering, physics, or a closely related discipline Experience in the design or use of high-end scientific instrumentation Experience working on projects delivered within required timelines We welcome applications from graduates who excel at problem solving and research, or those with equivalent experience.
