The Sustainability Ops Manager - Carbon Accountant will be responsible for measuring emissions across Scope 1, 2, and 3, developing tools and dashboards to track carbon performance, providing customers with emission calculators, and ensuring compliance with Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for sustainability.
- Collect and analyze data on carbon emissions across Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy), and Scope 3 (indirect emissions from the value chain).
- Coordinate with various stations to gather accurate and comprehensive emissions data.
- Create and maintain a centralized dashboard to provide visibility into the company's carbon performance.
- Design and implement an internal carbon intensity calculator to measure and track the company's carbon footprint.
- Use the calculator to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce carbon intensity.
- Monitor and report on the company's progress towards achieving Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation.
- Ensure compliance with SBTi requirements and maintain accurate records of validation progress.
- Understand and apply ESG reporting frameworks and rating agency requirements.
- Ensure sustainability initiatives align with ESG standards and improve the company's ratings.
- Stay updated on policy and regulatory landscapes affecting sustainability.
- Apply the Greenhouse Gas Protocol framework for calculating Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions using proper methodologies and emission factors.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
