Lear Corporation is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our sales team within our Seating division (Complete seat JIT). The role is based at our UK Headquarters in Coventry, with hybrid/partial remote working options, managing seating projects for a prestigious OEM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the commercial aspects of complete seat programs, negotiating series projects and contracts with customers from Buyer to Senior Management.
- Manage customer relationships with OEM Buyers, Purchase Managers, Lead Engineers, Module Leaders, and Cost Engineers.
- Negotiate and resolve commercial issues promptly.
- Handle sales accounts with P&L responsibility, overseeing costs, pricing, and profitability from project start to SOP.
- Achieve financial targets for programs.
- Provide engineering change quotations aligned with customer timelines.
- Maintain internal reports and support business case approvals.
- Report program commercial status to senior management.
- Follow up on aging debt and drive cash collection in line with forecasts.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience as an automotive Tier 1 Account Manager, preferably in interiors.
- Strong commercial acumen, self-motivated, and proactive leadership skills.
- Experience tracking price changes and maintaining accurate records, including margin impacts.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
