We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Wastewater Strategic Planning team as a Technical Policy Manager. If you have experience in developing plans and strategies within asset organizations, we want to hear from you. Knowledge of the water sector challenges, trends, and experience working in a regulated environment is essential. Ideally, familiarity with Defra, the Environment Agency, and OFWAT is preferred.
You will understand option development, option appraisal, and cost-benefit principles that support decision-making, ensuring performance targets and compliance are met. You will also lead innovative solutions, technical research, and technological advances to support our ambitious goals. Strong people skills are required to foster collaboration and influence stakeholders internally and externally, maintaining NWG's leadership in best practices and innovation, while raising our profile. You will represent NWG in industry working groups and collaborate with peers to shape strategies and plans that are endorsed and actionable by operational and investment teams.
Experience in strategy development, asset management, and the ability to produce technical reports, policies, and strategies is necessary. Technical knowledge of water service delivery and regulatory frameworks is important. Proficiency in analyzing data from multiple sources to inform decisions is required. Excellent communication skills, motivation for results, problem-solving ability, and adaptability in a fast-changing environment are essential.
