Vickerstock is working in partnership with a major distribution business to appoint a Purchasing Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a new position driven by ongoing growth and increased sales. The role will require regular travel to England.
As the Purchasing Manager, you will focus on procurement and supplier management, emphasizing effective negotiation, building supplier relationships, and implementing cost-saving measures while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing purchasing strategies effectively
- Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals
- Forecasting key prices and market trends to identify shifts in buyer-supplier power
- Performing cost analysis, scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Sourcing and partnering with reliable vendors and suppliers

Requirements for success:
