About the Company - Our client is seeking a Head of Data and Analytics to drive the organisation's data and analytics strategy, fostering a data-driven culture, and delivering actionable insights to support business growth and innovation.
About the Role - This role oversees the data engineering, data analytics, and data governance teams, ensuring the organisation leverages its data assets effectively while maintaining data governance, security, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Developing and delivering a data & analytics strategy, prioritising data initiatives in conjunction with the business.
- Leading a team of data professionals including engineers, analysts and developers.
- Oversee the development and support of a scalable and secure data platform, including data lakes, data warehouses and pipelines.
- Define and drive data governance for the organisation.
- Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, AI and Machine Learning for analytics and customer insights.
- Work with key stakeholders across the business to drive data awareness.
Qualifications
- Experience in leading a data and analytics function.
Required Skills
- A track record of developing and implementing enterprise-wide data and analytics strategies and implementing such on a fully fledged data platform.
- Hands-on experience in modern data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Fabric) and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Knowledge of data architecture, engineering, and advanced analytics techniques (e.g., machine learning, AI).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data ecosystems.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- The ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Pay range and compensation package - The role will be based between Leeds and York, with occasional travel to Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to lead the data area for a well known customer facing organisation.
