Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and motivated nurse to join as a Nutrition Nurse. The role includes training, supervision, and assessment in practical and clinical skills to support the nutrition service. Key Responsibilities: Assess patients referred for parenteral and enteral nutrition. Manage patients requiring intravenous access devices such as PICC lines and enteral feeding tubes (nasojejunal, PEG). Teach patients, carers, and healthcare professionals once competent. Ensure peer review of nursing staff regarding tube care and management. Work within a multidisciplinary team across clinical boundaries. Collaborate with enteral agencies for safe nutrition support at home. Act as a role model and expert, providing clinical guidance and support. Undertake clinical supervision and act as a resource for healthcare professionals. Ensure efficient use of resources and contribute to service development. Monitor health, safety, and security, promoting best practices. Lead investigations into incidents and complaints when required. Provide leadership, guidance, and promote an open, transparent culture. Demonstrate clinical leadership and challenge boundaries to enhance patient care.
