Summary People who work for the National Trust are as varied as all the places we care for. That’s why we look for staff from all backgrounds, with a variety of skills and abilities, to help the Trusts cause. As a Communications and Marketing Officer for Mid Ulster (The Argory, Springhill, Ardress, Wellbrook, Grays, Derrymore and Coney Island), you’ll be responsible for letting people know about the place, and how they can visit. You will be contracted to work 3 days per week and you might be asked to work occasional weekends or bank holidays if there are events planned in or if we need cover as Duty Manager. Your office will be based at The Argory, however you will be working across Mid Ulster. What it’s like to work here Youll be working as part of Visitor Operations and Experience team across the Mid Ulster portfolio to support inclusive and engaging content. Whilst youll be out and about creating content, you will also be busy inspiring the teams to develop content that we can share with our supporters to engage and unlock new audiences. Your office will be based at The Argory and you will have to work occasional weekends when the properties are running events. What you’ll be doing We have an annual plan covering communications and marketing, and your role from will be to achieve whats on that plan. We have some ambitious targets that youll be aiming at, including reaching new and diverse audiences, so theres room for creativity and fresh ideas. Your day-to-day work will cover things like creating new content on our web pages, and making sure that existing information remains relevant and accurate, running social media accounts, creating promotional materials and writing and distributing press releases. You’ll be working closely with your colleagues on site and the Trusts regional advisers, known as consultants. You’ll be part of a team making sure that we’re sharing the best stories we can, with a focus on spreading the word about places to visit and letting people know about the Trusts conservation work.
