Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct customer visits within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
- Identify potential clients and the decision makers within their organizations.
- Research and build relationships with new clients.
- Arrange meetings between client decision makers and company practice leaders or principals.
- Plan approaches and pitches. Collaborate with a team to develop proposals tailored to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Participate in pricing solutions and services.
- Handle objections by clarifying points, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to reach positive conclusions. Use various styles to persuade or negotiate effectively.
- Ensure client retention.
- Present new products and services and strengthen existing relationships.
- Collaborate with technical staff and internal colleagues to meet customer requirements.
Management and Research
- Develop and maintain a database of key stakeholders and contacts to enhance sales opportunities weekly.
- Submit weekly progress reports on the database and ensure data accuracy.
- Ensure accurate data entry and management within the company’s CRM or sales management system.
- Forecast sales targets and work towards achieving them.
- Understand the company’s goals to continually improve performance.
- OEM partnerships include: Microsoft, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Citrix, Sophos, Veeam, Veritas, SOTI, Dell, Lenovo, HPE.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree is required, along with sales or marketing experience. Experience in social leadership or intra-college leadership is a plus.
- Preferred degrees include: B.Sc. IT, M.Sc. IT, BMS.
Other Skills and Qualifications
- Networking, persuasion, prospecting, public speaking, research, writing, motivation for sales, sales planning, customer needs identification, territory management, market knowledge, meeting sales goals, professionalism, CRM, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
