Title and Summary Control Testing Manager-1 Manager for Technology & Operations 1LoD Control Testing Job Description Summary Background The company Vocalink Limited (VLL) is a technology-driven payments company with a unique and unrivaled position within the UK domestic payments industry. VLL has 4 core service offerings: Bacs, FPS, LINK, and ICS, processing a significant portion of UK payments and transactions. VLL is designated as Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and is regulated by the Bank of England. VLL is part of the Mastercard Group, benefiting from global security, economies of scale, and access to innovative technologies. The Team VLL operates a 3 Lines of Defence (3LOD) risk management model. This role is within the 1st Line Risk and Controls Team, supporting Technology and Operations functions. The team ensures compliance with risk management policies, oversees governance activities, and promotes risk awareness. Role overview Conduct Control Testing across T&O domains. Collaborate with Control Owners and Operators. Support and educate 1LoD teams on Control Testing. Report on progress, results, and follow-up activities. Report key risk information to governance forums. Responsibilities of the role Conduct control testing in line with schedules and frameworks. Gather evidence, identify gaps, document issues, and actions. Identify process improvements. Collaborate with risk functions. Consolidate and report control testing information. Support development of procedures for risk management. Support and deputize for the Director of 1st Line Risk & Controls. Engage with senior leaders effectively. Relevant experience Experience in control testing in a Technology environment [Mandatory] Investigative and analytical skills [Mandatory] Reporting and presentation skills [Mandatory] Stakeholder management [Mandatory] Experience engaging with senior leadership [Preferred] Relevant skills Excellent communication skills.
