Position: Full-Time | Hotel Duty Manager

Reports to: Reception Manager

We are currently seeking a confident, service-focused Hotel Duty Manager to join our welcoming team at our boutique 4-star property in Central London. With just 72 bedrooms, we prioritise quality over quantity, offering thoughtful, personalised service and genuine guest care.

This is a hands-on, guest-facing leadership role perfect for someone who values meaningful interaction with guests, takes pride in high standards, and brings a calm, composed approach to daily operations. As we are currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment, we're looking for someone resilient and adaptable, who sees change as an opportunity to learn and grow. The role:

  • As Duty Manager, you will act as the face of the hotel, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across Front Office and beyond.
  • You will lead by example, overseeing service standards, supporting the rest of the team, and ensuring guest satisfaction at every opportunity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service to ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Managing check-in/out procedures, billing, and guest queries
  • Supporting room allocations and special requests
  • Liaising with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B to ensure operational flow
  • Upholding health & safety and hygiene standards
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally
  • Acting as the hotel's ambassador, building rapport with guests and encouraging repeat visits

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a hotel supervisory or duty manager role is non-negotiable
  • Strong knowledge of Front Office systems (e.g., Opera PMS, Micros, VingCard)
  • Organised, proactive, and approachable leadership style
  • Excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach
  • Confidence to handle unexpected situations and maintain calm under pressure
  • A people person who enjoys guest interaction and leads with a positive attitude
