Job Title: Materials Engineer

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire

Rate: £27.21ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £20.35ph PAYE

Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until March 2026)

Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Position Description

The primary purpose of the role is to support the development of surface materials and technologies for Bespoke and Personalisation projects. As the material concepts mature, the focus will shift to manufacturing methods and technologies, collaborating with Materiality Designers, Suppliers, and the wider Bespoke team. The role involves creating visual and numerical standards for use within the supply chain and vehicle assembly.

Essential Skills

• Experience and knowledge in relevant material technologies with strong technical development expertise.
• Good understanding of product and automotive design, aesthetic judgment, colour vision, and perception.
• Good communication skills, able to relate and communicate effectively at all levels.

Experience & Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

• Understanding of timing plans and programme management for commodity developments.
• Ability to measure KPIs related to programme deliverables.

Additional Information

This position requires a UK driving license for independent travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites. Overseas travel may also be required at short notice.
