Role Contribution: This position supports our growth by investing in Exposure and Modelling systems. As a Modelling Developer in the Reinsurance and Enterprise Risk, Pricing & Modelling Systems department, you will develop and maintain AXIS’ reinsurance and enterprise-wide pricing, modelling, and exposure management systems. Your expertise will help evolve our Exposure and Modelling ecosystem innovatively, collaborating with a global team to enhance solutions and develop new capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Property and Cyber Modelling teams.
- Collaborate with IT teams such as Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Data & Analytics.
- Identify knowledge gaps, seek mentorship, and pursue self-learning.
- Ensure code quality and deliver features from requirements to production.
- Promote software engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, and understanding user requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
Technical Skills:- Experience with software development using C# / Python and SQL.
- Knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms.
- Basic proficiency with GIT and understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Test-driven development approach.
- Analytical mindset with ability to translate complex requirements into code.
- Ability to query and analyze data to identify anomalies.
- Collaborative work approach.
- Curiosity and drive for continuous improvement.
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Databricks, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of architectural patterns like Event-Driven, Microservices, Serverless.
- Web technologies and JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular).
- Background in insurance, exposure data, and modelled loss data.
- Numeracy skills and attention to detail.
