Join us as a Lead Clinical Pharmacist for Renal Services at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our modern facilities at Colchester Hospital. This role covers maternity leave until 25/09/2026, aiming to develop and enhance the clinical pharmacy service within Renal practice. This is a Band 8a role; however, Band 7 pharmacists may be considered for a developmental program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialised clinical pharmacy services to renal patients, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use.
- Support the multidisciplinary team in maintaining and developing renal services.
- Develop renal guidelines and patient support materials.
- Clinically screen renal homecare prescriptions.
Department and Organizational Context:
Our pharmacy team is dedicated to staff development through training, forums, and educational activities. We are implementing the EPIC electronic patient record system, including electronic prescribing and pharmacy stock control. Our facilities include automated dispensaries, a medicines advice site, and a Regional Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit with a new Aseptic facility.
