We are building a small, efficient TechOps team at Kraken. We seek an ambitious, knowledgeable, and experienced TechOps Architect passionate about tackling challenges, driving innovation, and helping us grow through organizational change. You will define what TechOps is at Kraken, shaping this team to provide world-class support, solve problems with engineering expertise, and lead transformational change.

A modern, lean version of enterprise IT, covering support to strategic planning. We handle big problems daily, working in ambiguity with a cloud-first approach to scale quickly without on-premise infrastructure.
About The Role
As a TechOps Architect, you will make strategic technical decisions impacting the entire business, while also engaging with day-to-day support to understand user challenges. You’ll have broad and deep knowledge across IT, including software engineering, security, platform architecture, and UI/UX.

What You'll Do
- Define success for a small, agile TechOps team.
- Tackle tough technical issues at scale.
- Make strategic technical decisions globally.
- Design and improve processes, automations, and systems for efficiency and scalability.
- Mentor the TechOps team, supporting technical projects.
- Assist with daily technical support, ensuring employee productivity.
- Collaborate with Security to balance security, productivity, and user experience.
- Manage vendor relationships and procurement for SaaS and hardware.
- Lead complex projects like identity provider migrations, device management, and SaaS transitions.
What You'll Need
- Experience leading diverse technical projects.
- Proficiency with scripting, APIs, and automation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and multitasking.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and supporting applications across devices.
- Knowledge of IAM systems like Okta or Microsoft Entra.
- Experience with SSO technologies (OAuth, SAML).
- Understanding of identity provisioning (SCIM).
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A conscientious, ethical approach and passion for doing the right thing.
Nice to Have
- Experience building macOS apps with Swift.
- Experience with Munki, AutoPkg, Chocolatey, PowerShell.
- Basic programming skills in languages like Python or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with security tools like CrowdStrike, Kolide, osquery, Zscaler.
