Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours.

The Role

Working as part of the Pharma Services team based in our Charnwood site in Loughborough, you will be responsible for the development of all aspects of processes used in the manufacture of new and existing drug products. You will be directly involved in the formulation and process development of medicinal products, operating a range of equipment, collecting information, and maintaining accurate documentation. Practical problem solving and effective communication with team members across departments will be key, along with critical interpretation of experimental data.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a related Scientific/Technical discipline
  • Experience in formulation development of solid oral dosage forms, with knowledge of some of the following processes:
  • Wet granulation
  • Dry Granulation
  • Fluid Bed Coating/Drying
  • Encapsulation
  • Tableting and Tablet Coating
  • Previous experience of optimising manufacturing processes
  • Excellent working knowledge of cGMP clinical manufacture, to enable formulation and development of drug products from laboratory scale through pilot scale and into production phase 1 to 3 to ensure competent technology transfer of drug products
  • Experience in completing manufacturing documentation in accordance with GMP
  • Desirable Criteria

    • Previous experience within a technical role in the pharmaceutical industry including:
    • Controlled release
    • Statistical experimental design
    • QbD experience, risk assessment; FMEA
    • Regulatory submissions
