We are working with a leading Freight Forwarding and Logistics organisation who are seeking to recruit an experienced Ocean Freight Specialist to sit within their Customer Service team. This role requires a customer-orientated individual, with strong experience in Ocean Freight operations. The successful candidate will be required to handle Ocean Freight shipments for FCLs and LCLs.
Duties & Responsibilities Of The Ocean Freight Specialist:
- Responding to customer enquiries.
- Quoting customers and making bookings.
- Liaising with shipping lines.
- Arranging collections and deliveries.
- Managing customer expectations.
- Resolving any issues and answering queries.
- Participating in customer meetings and regular customer reviews.
- Monitoring profit post-shipment across all transport modes.
- Supporting the onboarding of new accounts.
This position requires an individual with a customer-focussed mindset, who has excellent knowledge of Ocean Freight operations. We are seeking an individual who has previous experience in handling Ocean Freight shipments.
