Contract Engineering Inspector (Aerospace Components)\\n\\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract Engineering Inspector to join our team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of aerospace components. This position is ideal for a meticulous professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards in aviation manufacturing.\\n\\nLocation: London Area, UK (with easy access to major airports like Gatwick and Heathrow).\\n\\nContract Duration: Approximately 3 months.\\n\\nRemuneration: £31.50 per hour.\\n\\nWorking Hours:\\n\\nGuaranteed Minimum: 25 hours per week (standby retainer).\\nExpected: Up to 40 hours per week.\\nOvertime: Any hours worked beyond 40 per week will be paid at an overtime rate.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nAs an Engineering Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting critical quality inspections at various supplier sites. Your primary duties will include:\\n\\nPerforming source inspections of aircraft parts and sub-assemblies.\\nSpecialising in First Article Inspection (FAI) reports and verification.\\nInspecting a diverse range of aerospace components, including but not limited to aircraft seats, galleys, and lavatories.\\nEnsuring all inspected parts comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and relevant aerospace industry standards.\\nDocumenting inspection results thoroughly and accurately, including any non-conformances.\\nCollaborating effectively with supplier quality teams to resolve inspection findings.\\nTravelling to various supplier locations as required within the London and surrounding areas, utilising your proximity to key airports.\\n\\nCandidate Requirements:\\n\\nProven experience as an Engineering Inspector, ideally within the aerospace or a similarly regulated industry.\\nStrong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and documentation (AS9102 knowledge highly desirable).\\nDemonstrable ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.\\nFamiliarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques for fabricated and assembled components.\\nExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection.\\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with suppliers and internal teams.\\nAbility to work independently and manage a variable workload.\\nMust be based in the London area with easy access to major airports such as Gatwick and Heathrow for efficient travel to supplier sites.\\nValid driving license and willingness to travel as required.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Engineering Inspector to contribute to vital aerospace projects on a contract basis.\\n\\nRandstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
