Candidates are required to have:

  • RTPI and/or RICS (P&D) accredited qualification;
  • Recently qualified or will be due to qualify soon (MRTPI);
  • 1-3 years planning experience;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent report writing ability;
  • Keen interest in planning and development;
  • An ability to negotiate effectively;
  • Excellent experience of communication and client interfacing skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • High service delivery skills;
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal;
  • Self-motivated;
  • Committed and organised;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages.

What does the role involve?

  • Preparing advice to clients;
  • Working with team members on developing planning strategies, preparing programmes and reviewing information;
  • Drafting or reviewing reports, co-ordinating the preparation and submission of planning applications/ appeals/ representations;
  • Identifying new business opportunities, assisting in firm-wide business development and preparing fee proposals;
  • Developing individual client base and part generating own workload;
  • Providing planning advice to clients and attending meetings;
  • Responsible for maintaining continuing professional development;
  • Any additional duties as reasonably requested.
