Role Overview Leading a team, identifying ways to keep them focused and on track, you’ll need to act independently and think on your feet, finding solutions and calling upon your previous experience to make sound management decisions. You’ll be given full autonomy in the role to build and develop your team, search for and implement efficiencies, and develop better ways of working to further improve our overall customer experience. Key Responsibilities Coordinate a fleet of 7 vehicles (3.5t maxi vans) and ensure compliance with all aspects of transport legislation, including EU and UK domestic rules. Advise and teach staff on safe operating procedures and relevant checks. Maintain accurate staff and vehicle records. Assess and support warehouse operations. Ensure fleet and driver records are compliant with DVSA standards. Manage people through performance reviews, staff development, disciplinary, and grievance procedures. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required. Qualifications and Experience Management CPC / OLAT qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience in logistics operations and management. Ability to cope with challenging situations. Attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience as a site manager, shift manager, or team manager. Experience in warehouse or distribution environments. Effective communication skills and team motivation abilities. IT literacy with knowledge of WMS systems. Ability to produce and interpret operational performance reports. Responsibility for P&L management. Ability to adapt to change and prioritize workload. Knowledge of H&S, HR legislation, and best practices. Additional Information 40 hours per week, site operations scheduled Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 18:00.
