At NPP, we are currently recruiting for an experienced Area Sales Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturer and distributor of electrical products and solutions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and driven sales professional to manage and grow a portfolio of accounts while actively developing new business.
About the Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting a broad range of high-quality electrical products into the distribution channel, with a strong focus on both new business development and account retention. You will work closely with electrical wholesalers and contractors, building long-term relationships and delivering tailored solutions that add real value.
You’ll be highly autonomous, with full control over your territory and customer base, supported by a collaborative and innovative internal team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow sales across a defined territory, focusing on electrical distributors and their contractor networks.
- Drive demand through proactive engagement with contractors and end users, including joint sales calls, trade counter events, local meetings, and product training sessions.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, identifying and converting new business prospects.
- Deliver compelling value-based sales presentations aligned with both customer requirements and company commercial goals.
- Plan and execute regular customer visits, using CRM tools and sales reports to inform activity and maximise results.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
What We’re Looking For
- A proven sales professional with experience managing high-value accounts.
- Strong knowledge of the electrical wholesale market or a similar B2B sales environment.
- Skilled in identifying new opportunities and developing them into long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both face-to-face and written.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and capable of working independently to manage your diary and sales activity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving licence (preferably clean), with flexibility for daily travel and occasional overnight stays.
