Apricus Resourcing are working with an independent provider who are looking for a Housing Concierge for a contract role based in Exeter.

The role available is based on a long term locum basis with 12 hour shifts available on days over a two week rolling rota - Shift times are 07:00 - 19:30 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

The position is based in a temporary accommodation and assessment service. The role includes supporting customers with alcohol dependence and addiction, substance misuse both prescription, legal and illegal substances and often complex mental ill health that is linked to past trauma, trauma of surviving on the streets. The post holder is responsible for statistical information regarding occupancy, updating project records e.g. the communications log, in accordance with record keeping quality standards.

Main Duties:

  • To maintain full and accurate log of events during the shift, for the purpose of clear and concise communication to service staff.
  • To actively ensure the security of the building, monitoring CCTV and patrolling at regular intervals.
  • In the absence of cleaning staff, to carry out cleaning duties of all common areas and vacant rooms.
  • To identify defects in relation to monthly defect monitoring and reducing turnaround times.
  • To participate in ensuring the security and the safety of service users, staff, visitors, contractors, premises, and equipment.
  • To adhere to the post holder’s own responsibilities to health and safety in the work place, and to colleagues, service users and the general public.
  • Upon request, to operate as first point of contact for any emergency on call system within the service.

Person specification:

No experience required, although previous work in either a social housing or care setting in a paid or voluntary capacity would be beneficial.

The role is based on a rolling contract with a view to extend, the rate of pay for the role is Β£12.21 PAYE per hour.
