As a Field Service Engineer, you will be a key part of the UK Maintenance Team, ensuring the reliable operation of CHP generator sets and balance-of-plant equipment at client sites. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with experience in CHP systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical maintenance, looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving electrical and mechanical issues on CHP generator sets and related equipment
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, including minor and major overhauls
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems, using appropriate troubleshooting tools and techniques
- Service and maintain MAN engines and other CHP systems
- Assist the management team in establishing parts and labour estimates for repairs
- Maintain service vehicle stock, ensuring necessary tools, parts, and equipment are available
- Prepare and submit detailed service reports after each site visit
- Ensure the clean and safe operation of the plant, following health and safety regulations
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients, ensuring their CHP systems operate efficiently
- Proactively review and order materials required for maintenance work
- Be available for on-call work and emergency maintenance tasks
Experience
- Experience working with MAN CHP engines is highly desirable
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, servicing, or troubleshooting of CHP systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical schematics
- Experience with engines, hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting tools
- Ability to work independently, with proactive and problem-solving mindset

Package / Remuneration:
The remuneration package offered at this stage is subject to the experience of the candidate, but will likely include the following:
