About the Role

Long Term Futures are supporting a "Good" Ofsted-rated academy school in Derby to recruit an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant. This role involves working alongside the class teacher to support learning and routines in an Early Years Foundation Stage classroom. You'll help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive setting that encourages children's curiosity, communication, and confidence. The position is full-time with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with setting up lessons and supporting daily classroom activities.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils in EYFS.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Help maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment for all.

What We're Looking For

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working with young children in a school or nursery setting.
  • A good knowledge of the EYFS framework and play-based learning.
  • A kind, patient, and reliable individual who enjoys helping children flourish.
