Role Overview

The role of Curriculum Leader is essential in fulfilling MTC Training\’s vision. You will be responsible for implementing a robust curriculum for in-centre delivery and for the work-based development of apprentices in collaboration with our employer partners.

Through inspiring leadership, you will manage a team of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches, monitoring, tracking, and reporting on learners\’ progress from the start of their apprenticeship through to EPA.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Line manage a team of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches.
  2. Monitor, track, and report on the progress of individual learners, groups, and cohorts assigned as Curriculum Leader.
  3. Support the development of high-quality teaching materials to meet Apprenticeship Duties, KSBs, and relevant qualification learning outcomes.
  4. Conduct Internal Quality Assurance alongside the Quality department to uphold MTC\’s reputation for high-quality apprenticeship training.
  5. Coach and mentor new staff.
  6. Demonstrate model behaviors that are consistent with an open, inclusive, and participative style, and proactively identify opportunities for professional development.
  7. Assist the Centre Head & Curriculum Manager in delivering an innovative, effective, and efficient curriculum that meets the needs of learners and employers, aligned with national, regional, and local government agendas.
  8. Provide learners with Careers, Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance throughout their apprenticeship journey, from recruitment to post-program support.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A full teaching qualification.
  • Significant experience/expertise in education (F.E / H.E or apprenticeships).
  • A full assessor qualification, such as TAQA Level 3 or equivalent (willingness to gain within 12 months of employment).

Desirable

  • An IV qualification, TAQA Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Engineering industry expertise (advantageous but not essential).
  • Qualified to minimum Level 3 in Engineering (advantageous but not essential).
