My client, a family-owned business delivering exceptional end-to-end solutions across Agriculture, Groundcare, Commercial Vehicles, and Event Hire, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our busy service department in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.
The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our service department, managing a team of skilled engineers, and ensuring the highest standard of service delivery for our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, organise, and support a team of engineers and workshop staff
- Coordinate with the parts department and other internal teams to ensure efficient operations
- Manage engineer call-outs and workload allocation to maintain excellent customer service
- Build and nurture relationships with customers, providing clear communication and consistent follow-ups
- Oversee workshop performance, efficiency, and time management
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience as a Service Manager within agricultural or similar machinery sectors OR be a highly experienced Engineer ready to step into a leadership role
- Strong understanding of machinery and the seasonal pressures in the agricultural industry
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage engineers and customers alike
- The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)
- Company vehicle provided
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm (Some Saturday mornings required during busy periods)
