Our division offers pension risk transfer (PRT) solutions for UK and US defined benefit schemes, along with reinsurance from Bermuda. Job Description Do you have extensive experience in Defined Benefit pension administration? Are you a part or fully qualified pensions actuary? We seek a motivated, technically skilled individual for the role of Technical Calculation Manager in our award-winning PRT business. You will provide expertise on complex benefit structures, manual calculations, and serve as an SME on schemes for our Client Services team. Managing claims work and delivering excellent customer outcomes are key responsibilities. Strong communication skills are essential to simplify complex information for diverse audiences. This is a hybrid role, allowing flexible work between home and our Glasgow office. Key Responsibilities: Leading checks on Defined Benefits quotations and issuing non-standard communications Ensuring efficient administration and claims service in line with SLAs Leading activities like valuations, data updates, bulk transfers, liaising with teams Driving process improvements and participating in initiatives related to legislation and system updates Developing robust solutions aligned with quality and audit standards, working with IT teams Analyzing feedback to meet customer expectations and implementing improvements Supporting team development through training and mentorship Qualifications: Substantial DB pensions experience Strong numeracy skills and problem-solving ability Knowledge of GDPR, Money Laundering, Complaints, Consumer Duty, Breach guidelines Excellent customer service and communication skills Experience in supporting and training team members Benefits: Performance bonus and share schemes Generous pension contributions Life assurance and private medical insurance At least 25 days holiday, plus public holidays, with holiday trading options Family leave, electric car schemes, discounts, and modern office spaces Additional Information We foster an inclusive culture, support flexible working, and value your strengths and potential.
