We have an incredible opportunity to join Phoenix Group as a Business Service Manager within our Service Operations team in Technical Service Operations.

  • Type: Permanent
  • Location: Based in Birmingham, Telford, London, or Edinburgh with hybrid working arrangements.

The Role

The Business Service Manager oversees the delivery and management of IT applications and services supporting business operations, acting as a bridge between IT and business units to ensure alignment and value delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with business stakeholders, manage escalations, participate in audits, and communicate outages and service variances.
  • IT Service Alignment and Delivery: Ensure IT services meet business objectives, monitor performance, and manage SLAs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor on IT capabilities and solutions.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Identify and resolve risks and escalated issues in IT Service Operations.

What We Are Looking For

  • Knowledge of the ITIL Framework.
  • Experience as a Business Service Manager, particularly in IT Service Management.
  • Ability to translate complex IT concepts into understandable business language.
  • Experience managing complex IT incidents.
  • Proven experience representing IT to stakeholders.
