Location: London

GPS are recruiting for an experienced Gunmaker to produce the finest quality shotguns and rifles to meet all orders, on time on budget. You will continuously assist in developing the product, the technology, tooling, and processes employed, to maintain and further the highest standards of craftsmanship and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craftsmanship and machining processes involved in the production of shotguns and rifles.
  • Assisting development in the technical department.
  • Assist with looking for new processes, tooling and methods to improve quality and reliability within the craft side of the business.
  • Explaining the craft process to visitors and customers in a positive and courteous manner.
  • Working as a member of the production team whilst at all times maintaining the culture and professional standards synonymous with the brand.
  • Fully participate in the culture of achieving the highest standards of quality in the finished guns and rifles with the aim of reducing levels of rework.
  • Fully participate in the continuous improvement and achievement of the production schedule to deliver all guns and rifles on time.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Time served Gun making Apprentice.
  • A sound Craft knowledge in their specialist area, and also a good breadth and depth of knowledge across all gun making.
  • Good communication, teamwork and motivation skills.
  • A good work ethic, able to reliably achieve the required output whilst maintaining high quality standards.
  • Able to interact effectively with all levels within the company and with customers.
  • A capable problem solver who demonstrates resourcefulness.
