Our client is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join their busy, growing team based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills, who can influence, advise, and engage across various projects and procedures. Flexibility and adaptability to evolving job demands are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upload drawings onto Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
- Control archive and storage of drawings
- Ensure control and timely release of new drawings or changes
- Manage documentation of supplier drawing comments
- Maintain all drawing records accurately
- Assist internal and external technical teams to ensure adherence to procedures
- Establish procedures for information flow within projects and across the practice
- Liaise with external teams to collaborate on document control procedures
- Train new and existing team members on document control procedures and systems
- Report statistical information to project leaders regarding project information flow
- Write procedures and guides to support document control
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Advanced understanding of Electronic Document Management Systems (experience with Conject is essential)
- Previous experience in a similar role on medium to large scale projects
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Methodical and organised approach
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset
