Our collaborative and multi-disciplinary team is one of the largest in the UK, providing water and wastewater infrastructure services alongside drainage design, SuDS and surface water management. Our wide variety of clients span across the UK and internationally and include UK water companies, local authorities, highways/rail authorities, and developers.
The Clean Water Network disciplines ambition is to continue our growth story through the excellent delivery of our wide range of services, expanding them across the whole of the UK to service regulatory cycle requirements and supporting the delivery of client outcome-based KPIs. We will diversify our client base, expanding our skill base and become the No1 supplier of professional services across the industry.
To support this, the AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure business is looking to appoint a Clean Water Networks Service Line Director to take accountability for the leadership, development, and implementation of the strategic and operational elements of client and business development for our technical teams to deliver. The role will require collaboration with other senior leaders across the entire business to contribute towards our overall growth strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity to grow and deliver services across a series of client accounts, utilising and building upon existing personal relationships (and those of the wider team) to generate awareness of our breadth and depth of services in Water Networks across all potential clients. Demonstrating passion, energy and excitement to generate an ambitious pipeline of opportunity. Working collaboratively across our business to win opportunities to truly make AtkinsRéalis the go-to name for Water Network consultancy services.
Your Purpose:
- Portfolio growth: Growth of revenue and EBIT performance – in line with annual targets and long-range plan, drive and coordinate external and internal sales effort across the Water Network discipline.
- Development of growth opportunities: Identify possible openings outside the current projects, seek out cross-selling opportunities, and maximise our existing frameworks and KAM Plans.
- Identification of client drivers and needs: Prioritise proposition and service development to address needs, working closely with business development, our technical capabilities and marketing colleagues.
- Client relationships: Deliver first-class service provisions to develop strong, long-lasting and profitable relationships.
- Development of strategic partnerships: Lead the process with the client, enabling AtkinsRéalis to contribute to the client’s success and developing a sustainable, long-term relationship.
- Client expert: Understand in detail the client’s strategy, organisational design, key points of influence, culture, external drivers and their challenges, risks and opportunities.
- AtkinsRéalis capabilities: Work with the practice to understand AtkinsRéalis’ full range of capabilities. Introduce the breadth of AtkinsRéalis capabilities to clients. Liaise with Technical Leads to form discipline requirements to match industry needs.
- Resource organisation: Create and coordinate a virtual team of client leads from across the region.
- Market strategy: Development of market plans by client in line with the overall market objectives.
- Strategic contribution: To the overall market strategy and business plans.
- External profile: Able to demonstrate a quality external network of clients, stakeholders and partners, and comfortable to lead external engagement and events.

- Deliver on growth plan success measures.
- Contribution to meeting client outcome-based KPIs.
- Cross-selling new services.
- Maintain a set utilisation to support practice KPI measures.
