Service Manager (Healthcare)\\n\\nLocation: Gateshead\\n\\nSalary: £33,802\\n\\nEmployment Type: Fulltime\\n\\nOur client is looking for a support manager to join the dedicated team. This is a north east based care provider, supporting individuals with learning and physical disabilities in a several locations. This role is essential to delivering outstanding care to the people we support.\\n\\nKey duties include:\\n\\n * Be a role model to your team to deliver meaningful and impactful support and care which will benefit those in your care.\\n\\n * Manage team recruitment, training, and development to ensure a highly skilled workforce.\\n\\n * Conduct regular staff meetings, one-on-one sessions, and appraisals to foster continuous improvement and professional growth.\\n\\n * Safeguard the rights of the people we support, ensuring their active involvement in planning and decision-making processes.\\n\\n * Monitor service quality across various locations, report incidents, and implement necessary improvements.\\n\\n * Coordinate with professionals and external agencies to enhance the overall support services provided.\\n\\n * Ensure compliance with policies and maintain high-quality support standards.\\n\\n * Handle complaints, maintain confidentiality, and ensure adherence to GDPR regulations.\\n\\n * Ensure the support team meets our client's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\\n\\n * Build and maintain strong relationships with families, the people we support, and their circles of support.\\n\\n * Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated on best practices.\\n\\n * Engage in continuous professional development with the support of the organisation.\\n\\nThe role:\\n\\n37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.\\n\\nHybrid working with the ability to travel between locations and Head Office is required.\\n\\nSupport Manager’s on-call rota for weekend cover (Roughly three shifts per month providing an additional £220 per month)\\n\\n5.6 weeks of annual leave.\\n\\nCareer development opportunities including paid training and upskilling.\\n\\nRequired Skills:\\n\\n * Quality, integrity, and professionalism.\\n\\n * Effective communicator with proven experience in team management and leadership.\\n\\n * Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving goals.\\n\\n * Confident and assertive in decision-making and leadership.\\n\\n * Extensive experience in staff management and mentoring.\\n\\n * Experience managing dispersed regional locations.\\n\\n * Background in working with individuals with learning disabilities or physical disabilities.\\n\\n * Experience in setting up new locations.\\n\\n * Understanding of CQC standards, the Mental Capacity Act, and GDPR.\\n\\n * Dedication to upholding our client's reputation and values.\\n\\n * NVQ Level 5 in Care or equivalent qualification; candidates working towards or committed to studying Level 5 will be considered.\\n\\n * Relevant management qualification.\\n\\n * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.\\n\\n * GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.\\n\\n * Possession of a full UK driving license.\\n\\nIf you have a passion for providing support to vulnerable individuals and meet the essential skills and qualities listed, we would love to hear from you.
