The predicted salary is between 104000 - 159000 £ per year.
The incumbent in this position is responsible for medication evaluation and management to a range of clients having psychiatric/mental health and substance abuse disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, under the supervision of consulting psychiatrist(s). This position is under the supervision of the primary supervising physician in accordance with Virginia licensing requirements for Nurse Practitioners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensure in Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Psychiatric and Mental Health
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration for the prescribing of controlled substances
- A mix of education and experience that shows the necessary skills and knowledge for the position
- An appreciation for and support of diversity in all its forms, and a demonstrated ability to interact with or serve individuals with diverse backgrounds, including clients, coworkers, and members of the community
- An eagerness to invest in one’s community through service
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License, good driving record and the ability to provide own transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Autonomous ANCC PMHNP certification
- Two (2) years of experience working with persons who have serious mental illness, intellectual disabilities, and/or substance abuse disorders
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be exposed to allergenic environments from clients including dust, smoke, pet contamination
- May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases
- Must be able to drive for long periods of time to visit other clinic sites in catchment area as needed
- Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles
- Must be able to complete physical requirements of the job
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
