In this pivotal role, you’ll take full ownership of the sales cycle - from understanding complex functional and technical requirements to presenting compelling solutions, delivering expert consultation, and ensuring world-class support and training.
You’ll be at the forefront of two mission-critical objectives:
- Generating your own leads and driving results from marketing-generated leads, turning interest into lasting partnerships through strategic engagement and execution.
- Expanding business with existing customers, leveraging your network and relationship-building prowess to uncover fresh opportunities and strengthen our regional footprint.

What your day-to-day might look like:
As a trusted advisor, you'll take a consultative sales approach—focusing on the business value Ignite brings, not just product features. You'll work closely with prospects, customer stakeholders, and account managers to shape compelling solutions.
You’ll drive the sale of software licenses and related services—Consulting, Support, Delivery, and Education—collaborating with service teams to ensure proposals are spot on. You’ll stay plugged into delivery progress, stepping in with clients when needed, and ensure legal and compliance standards are always met.
Expect to craft standout tender responses and RFPs, travel across the UK and Europe, and stay tightly connected with the broader Ignite sales team to share insights, evangelise our offering, and uncover new leads.
What you will bring:
- A sales background with experience of closing software license and services solutions at enterprise customers.
- Experience of working in a smaller business with a rapid growth environment.
- A demonstrable track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to engage at an Enterprise / C – Suite level.
- Thinking big and closing £m+ business.
- Experience with sales methodologies, such as MEDDPICC.
- Previous experience of working across territories.
- Proficient user of IT Software, Microsoft Office suite, CRM and sales tools such as Sales Navigator.
- Languages: English is a must, but other Northern European languages would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, take initiative and work proactively with minimal supervision.
- The ability to perform to a high standard whilst balancing the priorities and deadlines of multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong relationship building skills.
- An analytical approach, with excellent attention to detail.
- An ambition and desire to grow a successful career within Ignite Technology.
