I'm currently working with a major civil engineering contractor who is delivering a large-scale infrastructure project in the Home Counties, and we're now looking to bring on board a Project Manager with solid experience in water and utilities works. This is a 52-week contract, outside IR35, and is due to kick off in June or July — ideal for someone who’s looking to secure their next long-term contract on a complex and rewarding scheme.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the delivery of:
  • 5km+ of water mains
  • Over 1km of ducting
  • Drainage, manholes, and slab placement
  • Precast concrete structures and prefabricated tanks
  • Coordinating multiple contractors, subcontractors, and site managers
  • Ensuring programme, cost, and quality targets are met
  • Chairing progress meetings and reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Working closely with the client team, suppliers, and design consultants
  • What We’re Looking For

    • Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering, ideally on large infrastructure or utilities-heavy projects
    • Strong technical understanding of water & utilities installations
    • Familiarity with precast and prefabricated systems
    • Confident managing multiple workstreams and contractor packages on-site
    • Knowledge of HSEQ and CDM regs
    • SMSTS and CSCS essential
    • Engineering degree or relevant qualification preferred
