Job Summary
The Hotel & Land Concierge Manager leads the Hotel & Land unit within Travel Services. In this role, you will also lead and coordinate the processes and activities related to the different components of the pre- and post-cruise value proposition.
Essential Functions
- Direct and supervise the Hotel Concierge team, ensuring the timely and effective execution of booking activities.
- Supervise and coordinate front-end activities related to the management of requests coming from the sales team.
- Support the identification of areas of improvement/criticalities in front-end processes in order to ensure the highest service level.
- Supervise and coordinate activities related to the definition of the most adequate inventory levels according to the booking trends, ensuring the timely and effective setup on the company systems.
- Coordinate tactical sourcing activities with hotels and team up with port operations to support the selection of Ground Operators.
- Support the evaluation and definition of potential sourcing opportunities to improve the current offering.
- Liaise and coordinate with external suppliers (e.g., Hotel, Ground Operator) in order to ensure the highest service level for turnaround activities.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of inventory and pricing monitoring processes.
- Support the Travel Services Director in the evaluation of strategic business initiatives, including promotional activities.
- Liaise and coordinate with other departments, including Reservations, Operations, Marketing, and other Guest Relations teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competency
Education: BSc/BA in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, Business Administration, Management, or similar is preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of proven experience in the Cruise industry with in-depth knowledge of Shoreside Programs (i.e., Hotel, Pre and Post-land programs, Transfers).
- Strong negotiation skills with proven experience in the Hotel and Land Programs domain.
- Strong analytical skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Organizational and leadership skills (experience in global team coordination is valued).
