The Director of Finance & Business Analysis and Operational Support, West Coast oversees and monitors all activities of data analytics and warehousing related to Hotel Operational Finance for the US and Canada. The role is home-based in California, preferably in or around L.A., San Diego, or San Francisco, and involves supporting the Vice President Finance, US and Puerto Rico, for the West Coast Hotels in the Fairmont portfolio. Responsibilities include collaboration with regional leads, project management, performance monitoring, ROI analysis, cash flow management, audits, and acting as a temporary finance leader in hotels if needed.
This position requires understanding of Hotel Operational Finance, development projects, and management agreements. The individual will lead data analytics and warehousing teams, implement data systems, and promote a data-driven culture to enhance business performance.
Qualifications- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure high-quality project execution and data-driven decision-making.
- Analyze financial data for the AMERICAS region, including P&L, KPIs, and balance sheets, and communicate insights effectively.
- Monitor monthly results against budgets, analyze forecasts, and prepare financial analyses for negotiations and investments.
- Conduct procedural checks and provide management with strategic data insights.
- Develop platforms for financial planning and performance analysis, with proficiency in systems like Sun, OneStream, IBP, etc.
- Post-secondary education in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Accounting designation or degree in related fields, with 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, analysis, or related areas.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, and other visualization tools.
- Excellent communication, discretion, and experience navigating complex organizational environments, including union settings.
