The main role of a Cruise Sales Consultant is to sell cruise holidays, including bespoke itineraries, to our customers to achieve and exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service.
Tasks- Converting incoming calls, emails, and web chats into bookings to meet personal sales targets
- Selling cruise holidays across all cruise lines, dynamically packaging and tailor-making holidays to fit customer requirements, including selling cruises, flights, hotel stays, and land tours
- Upselling and booking ancillary products and services where appropriate
- Providing excellent call quality compliant with current industry regulations (e.g., GDPR)
- Offering exceptional customer service by building rapport and using personal experience to stand out from competitors and encourage loyalty
- Remaining aware of current offers, promotions, discounts, and marketing campaigns to maximize sales opportunities
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge, including completing cruise line online learning platforms, attending in-house training, and staying informed about industry trends
- Maximizing skills on cruise line and in-house booking systems and suggesting improvements
- Following company processes to minimize errors and ensure bookings are completed accurately
- Developing effective relationships with team members and other departments to share ideas, maximize sales, and improve processes
- Previous experience selling cruises or bespoke long-haul itineraries
- Self-driven to work towards and exceed targets
- Telephone sales experience, preferably in travel retail or tour operating
- Experience with dynamic packaging is preferred
- Passionate and enthusiastic about selling cruises
- Homeworking experience is preferred
- Good knowledge of cruise and travel products and systems
- Experience with Amadeus/GDS flight systems is a plus but not essential
- Competitive basic salary plus lucrative bonus scheme. OTE £35K - £45K+
