To work closely with and provide a highly efficient and accurate level of administration and underwriting assistance to the Real Estate Team. To manage and deliver data input as required in support of the new business and renewal underwriting functions. Accurately review and transfer data between sources and systems as required. To deliver a high level of service to all customers internal and external by adhering to SLA’s and TCF through complying with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities / Relationships / Reporting Lines:
- Assist in the effective underwriting functions of the Real Estate binders.
- Liaise with and support the underwriting team with general administrative duties, which includes, but is not limited to, issuing policy documents, data entry onto bordereaux, spreadsheets & IT platforms.
- Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with your authority, the business plan and delegated underwriting authority to meet business objectives, referring for the correct level of authority as required, including where required negotiating rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business, ensuring production and issue of contract certainty and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines.
- Assist the business in the accurate migration of data between systems.
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues to achieve business targets.
- Liaise with claims team where required to ensure underwriters have up to date claims information on all renewal accounts.
- Ensure that standards of service to customers and prospects are in accordance with the company’s requirements and guidelines.
- Carry out any task or duty reasonably requested to assist the Real Estate underwriting team.
