We're recruiting for a Principal Performance Tester to help establish and grow a performance testing capability at a fast-scaling tech business in the payments space. You'll drive strategy, design environments, and ensure systems meet demanding performance and scalability needs.
The role:
- Define and deliver performance testing strategy (load, stress, soak).
- Design, build, and optimise performance test environments.
- Lead performance testing across APIs, web apps, and databases.
- Provide insight on risks, bottlenecks, and tuning opportunities.
- Guide and mentor teams, driving best practices and a shift-left approach.
What we're looking for:
- 8-10+ years' experience in performance testing enterprise systems.
- Significant leadership in quality/performance engineering.
- Hands-on expertise with tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter, K6, Kibana, CloudFlare).
- Experience with modern DevOps and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Skilled in replica environment design, NFR elicitation, and performance tuning.
- Strong communicator and technical leader.
