The Role: Risk Manager Location: Hertfordshire + nationwide travel Salary: Up to Β£55,000 per annum
I am delighted to be working with a wonderful Leisure & Entertainment client with an extensive estate across the UK and beyond. There is a real buzz in the air as 2024 brings fresh ideas and new projects to embark upon. To strengthen their in-house team, we are seeking an experienced Risk Manager who will also lead on H&S, fire, security, food, and insurance/risk services for the group.
ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE:
- Health & Safety qualification β minimum level 3 equivalent β NEBOSH/NVQ/NCRQ, ideally working towards the next level.
- Experience in risk management within a multi-site environment, including audits, risk assessments, policy/procedure implementation, training, incident management/investigation, and performance reporting.
- Food Hygiene Level 3 qualification and experience in risk management in an F&B environment is desirable.
- Experience working with enforcing authorities and third-party contractors.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Group Operations, Venue Operations, F&B teams, and other HR functions. This regional role requires travel across venues and support from Head Office locations. You should be collaborative and engaging, with a proven track record supporting, auditing, and practicing risk functions in a fast-paced, customer-centric, multi-site environment. Key responsibilities:
- Promote good risk management practices to minimize loss, damage, injury, and protect assets, customers, contractors, and reputation (note: this role does not include financial risk management).
- Provide support, guidance, policy, governance, and audit within the group and across venues and departments.

- Experience with historical buildings, large-scale events, or the entertainment industry is advantageous.
- A practical, solutions-based approach to risk management and simplifying processes to support business operations are essential.
