PD&MS Group have a great opportunity for an Offshore Project Engineer to join our progressive Projects team based in Aberdeen on a full-time, employee basis. Role is required to undertake Offshore Project Engineer duties. Demonstrate strong safety leadership of the projects relating to the facility, and actively manage each scope to deliver in a safe and timely manner. This role is a secondment position based in our client's organisation in Aberdeen to support the Shutdown Manager on 2025 shutdown scopes on UKCS assets through to October 2025. We are seeking candidates that have previous experience in shutdown coordination for this long term role.

As the Offshore Project Engineer, you will:

  • Communicate clearly the safety expectations of all individuals
  • Promote and encourage a culture to STOP the job if there are any safety concerns or doubts
  • Undertake site safety meetings, tool box talks and pre-shift briefs
  • Participate in Construction Campaign Risk assessments
  • Review, challenge and implement construction packages of work
  • Attend and participate at onshore design / constructability reviews as required
  • Ensure all materials required for offshore installation are checked and verified for completeness
  • Ensure that pre-mobilisation task specific brief with 3rd party trade’s personnel and vendors are completed, in line with client expectations and requirements
  • Interface with contractor organisations to ensure all mobilisation requirements are understood and actioned
  • Support the Project Manager and other client stakeholders in controlling POB and resolving issues e.g. work scope and planning
  • Provide specialist input to resource requirements and engagement with PD&MS employees to undertake recruitment in line with project resource requirements
  • Act as client representative, supporting contractor teams in handing over completed work scopes
  • Plan and coordinate scheduled work
  • Support Area Authority and Isolating Authority in the delivery of their duties
  • Support personnel responsible for creating PTW and LOLER lift plans and ensure that appropriate controls are in place prior to work scope execution, in line with client procedures
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate governance activities are complete, prior to work commencing
  • When offshore, provide a detailed documented Daily Progress Reports on behalf of the Company and or the Client
  • Prepare and implement site queries including close out coordination with onshore engineering
  • Liaise with Offshore Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager, Operations team and OIM as well as Project Responsible Person when offshore on a daily basis in relation to safety and project deliverables
  • Liaise with specialist vendor personnel offshore, ensuring compliance with client requirements during the execution of their scope

Qualifications

  • Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or NVQ / SVQ Level 3, and / or relevant and recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body, or appropriate 10 years’ experience in discipline / trade
  • IOSH Managing Safely in the Engineering Construction Industry OR IOSH Managing Safely in Construction
  • Extensive experience in TAR / shutdown campaigns within a client setting
  • Competent in the use of MS Office Applications
  • Experience in managing and developing others
  • Good understanding of top side operations and maintenance
  • Offshore certification
