TeamJobs are looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our client’s team in Motherwell, contributing to the delivery of innovative, high-quality software solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full software development lifecycle in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.

Pay Rate: £45 - £60 per hour (DOE)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Motherwell, Lanarkshire

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver software solutions to recognised industry standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team using various tools and programming languages.
  • Take ownership of your work and contribute to the mentoring and technical support of junior team members.
  • Lead assurance and review activities, ensuring documentation, configuration, and release procedures meet required standards.
  • Translate customer requirements into robust software designs, implement and test code, and manage integration, release, and deployment processes.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Background in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency or strong knowledge in PLC programming.
  • Experience or working knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude in a team-oriented environment.
