The Technical Solutions Consultant role plays a critical part in designing, shaping, and delivering innovative solutions tailored for enterprise clients, with a particular emphasis on RFID technology applications. This position is characterized by its interactive nature, requiring a combination of technical expertise, hands-on field experience, and commercial acumen to effectively address business challenges with customized solutions.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will engage with sales, professional services, project management, and engineering teams to support clients across various sectors including logistics, retail, and field services. You will manage the entire solution lifecycle, from initial discovery and design to proof of concept and final deployment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and technical architecture of RFID systems, ensuring optimal tag placement and seamless integration.
  • Work in collaboration with Account Managers to identify customer needs and develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
  • Conduct onsite evaluations to determine operational requirements and technical specifications.
  • Craft comprehensive solution proposals, diagrams, and all necessary technical documentation.
  • Support the design and execution of Proofs of Concept (POC) from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions, aligning with business objectives.
  • Stay current on emerging RFID technologies, middleware platforms, and partner offerings to continuously enrich industry knowledge.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert during customer meetings and site visits.
  • Provide post-deployment support and facilitate knowledge transfer with customers and internal teams.
  • Identify potential opportunities for upselling or cross-selling through technical engagement and relationship building.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of RFID systems.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise mobility, barcode scanning, and edge computing technologies.
  • Solid understanding of Real-Time Location Systems (RTLS) and middleware platform integration.
  • Familiarity with systems like Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RFID middleware.
  • Proven experience leading technical workshops and conducting client discovery sessions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to distill complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficient in technical documentation, proposal development, and creating solution diagrams.
  • Exposure to Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
  • Experience across multiple sectors such as logistics, warehousing, and retail, with the ability to adapt to different customer environments.
  • Background in pre-sales or technical consulting is highly beneficial.
