About you
You are a Level 2 or above qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse who enjoys supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children. You have a natural, nurturing openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
What you'll be doing
You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan. That will soon get completely derailed though. Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care! Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands-on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course, we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn’t stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
What you'll need
- A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years. (We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, as long as they demonstrate the necessary qualities, values and enthusiasm for working within this environment.)
- Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5 is advantageous.
- Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
- Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness, and working together.
What you'll get
- Competitive rates of pay dependent on experience, qualification, and NMW age guidance.
- Performance-related bonuses.
- 50% childcare discount.
- Annual wellness day off.
- Access to retail and other discounts through Perkbox.
- 20 days holidays (plus bank holiday), increasing to 22 days after 2 years service and 25 days after 5 years service.
- Dedicated learning and development support.
- Access to one-to-one confidential counselling sessions through our Employee Assistance Programme.
