As Agency Marketing Lead, you’ll take the reins on marketing efforts for our agency, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve in a fast-paced digital landscape. You will have 3 years + Agency experience in a similar role. Reporting into the Growth Director (dotted line to the Founder), this role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ideal for someone who is as comfortable diving into analytics as they are crafting compelling content. We’re seeking an individual passionate about digital marketing and building long-term successful and mutually beneficial relationships with clients. Proactive by nature, the role requires a clear understanding and experience in attracting new brands to a business, with the confidence and agility to adapt the strategy to meet the needs of the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Market and Sector Insights Reports: Conduct thorough research into emerging trends, competitor activities, and client industry developments to promote our knowledge amongst key sectors for the agency. Plan and oversee the production of relevant insights and reports to share with key stakeholders across brands we would love to work with. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for the agency to innovate and adapt to market changes.
- Content Production: Develop engaging and informative content to support marketing initiatives, including reports, blog posts, video scripts, infographics, and email campaigns. Maintain a content calendar that aligns with the agency’s strategic goals and key industry events and ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and showcases the agency’s expertise. Manage email marketing campaigns and produce regular case studies of our successes with key clients and prepare a promotional plan for each. Optimise and refine website content to align with company positioning, client needs and SEO effectiveness to increase online visibility and drive organic traffic and subsequent conversion.
- Social Media Management: Develop and implement a strategic social media plan to grow the agency’s online presence and engagement. Create, schedule, and monitor posts across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Analyse social media metrics and provide insights to improve performance and ROI. Stay updated on social media trends and algorithm changes to ensure maximum reach and engagement.
- Outreach and Collaboration: Identify and engage with relevant industry influencers, partners, and media outlets to amplify the agency’s voice. Plan and support outreach campaigns driven by the new business team to promote agency services, achievements, and content. Build long-term relationships with collaborators to create joint marketing opportunities.
- Lead Generation and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on the performance of marketing activities in generating qualified leads and opportunities. Use CRM tools to monitor lead quality and conversion rates. Identify gaps in the lead generation process and recommend improvements - through detailed performance reports and presenting to senior management with actionable insights.
- Campaign Strategy: Develop innovative marketing campaigns that highlight the agency’s services, case studies, and achievements. Work closely with creative teams to develop campaign assets, such as visuals, landing pages, and ad copy. Monitor the success of campaigns through key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies as needed. Assist in directing paid ad campaigns / ongoing activity through Google Ads, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
- Event Planning and Support: Help organise and oversee the planning of agency-hosted events such as monthly themed or industry events, roundtables and webinars. Collaborate with internal teams to manage event logistics, create promotional materials, event agendas, presentations and follow-up communications. Monitor the success of events to refine future event strategies.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with SEO, paid media, web and creative teams to ensure consistency and cohesion across marketing efforts. Act as a central point of contact for marketing-related projects, ensuring seamless communication and delivery.
- Brand Development: Ensure all marketing activities align with the agency’s brand identity and long-term goals. Regularly evaluate brand positioning and recommend strategies to enhance reputation and visibility in the digital marketing space.
By driving these responsibilities, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the agency remains competitive, visible, and a trusted expert in the digital marketing sector, while delivering impactful events that strengthen client relationships and brand positioning.
What might a typical week/month in role look like?
- Work on the planning and production of the latest market insights report.
- Update and manage data within the CRM for both marketing and sales leads.
- Review and feedback on the presentation for the next upcoming event, check in on attendee numbers and quality and take any required action to boost attendance.
- Attending the weekly forecasting meeting to report back on activity, initial leads and any planned work.
- Produce a monthly email campaign for clients summarising key industry updates, latest news from the business etc.
- Attend a monthly growth meeting to share insights on performance and to outline the future strategy.
- Review paid advertising activity and meet with the specialist to propose improvements or new focuses.
- Work on the planned social media activity for the week ahead across LinkedIn and Meta.
- Gather the relevant information and insight from the team to draft up a new case study to brief into the design team.
- Support with any pitch decks, making sure all outgoing decks are on brand.
