We are currently looking to recruit two HCPC registered Mammographers to the Breast Imaging team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on a fixed-term contract. We are a close-knit group of dedicated, forward-thinking healthcare professionals committed to providing a first-class Breast Service for patients across Chesterfield and North Derbyshire.
Our Mammographers are key members of our multidisciplinary workforce, working alongside Consultants, Clinical Specialists, Advanced Practitioners, and Assistant Practitioners. We offer opportunities to develop new skills and participate in screening, triple assessment, family history, and breast cancer follow-up.
As a Band 6 Mammographer, we support leadership projects in line with the trust’s ‘Leading the Chesterfield Way’ framework. We prioritize the health and wellbeing of our staff, offering various initiatives and flexible working arrangements. We welcome applications from mammographers interested in full or part-time roles, including those returning to practice.
This varied role involves working across mobile screening units at picturesque sites in the Peak District and North Derbyshire, as well as at our Chesterfield-based satellite screening site and assessment clinics. You will work with our advanced Hologic mammography units, including Tomosynthesis-guided biopsy. Our department performs approximately 20,000 examinations annually and is committed to service development and improvement.
