Overview
We are partnering with a leading PE-backed software and technology services business to appoint a Corporate Development Manager as part of a growing in-house M&A and strategy function.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with senior leadership, focused on executing acquisitions across the UK and Europe, within a well-funded, acquisitive platform operating in the software / tech-enabled services space.
The Role
The Corporate Development Manager will support end-to-end M&A activity, from origination through to execution and post-deal activity.
Key responsibilities
Supporting end-to-end M&A transactions, including target assessment, valuation, due diligence and deal execution
Building and maintaining financial models (valuation, LBO, synergy analysis)
Leading or supporting buy-side financial due diligence, working alongside external advisors
Preparing investment papers and materials for senior management and investors
Conducting market mapping, sector analysis and competitor benchmarking
Working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Strategy and Integration teams post-close
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role would suit a candidate currently working in Transaction Services looking to move in-house into a strategic M&A role.
Key requirements
Currently at a Big 6 Accounting / Advisory firm(e.g. Transaction Services, Deals, M&A Advisory)
Strong software / technology deal exposure (SaaS, recurring revenue, tech-enabled services preferred)
Experience supporting buy-side transactions and financial due diligence
Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
Commercial mindset with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Typically 3β7 yearsβ experience (flexible depending on profile)
